Q Tip # 11: Water, Sweet, sweet water
It’s summer and hot in Iowa. Remaining hydrated is just as important for us as it is for our pets and our plants.
Water is the beverage of choice at our house. It took a while for me to get used to drinking room temperature water; but, after I read several articles about how our systems assimilate liquids, I grew to enjoy the taste. On an empty stomach, room temperature water takes about an hour to absorb into our body’s cells. Cold water can take from three to six times longer. So, go for the cool, friend, forget the cubes. Namaste.
