Q Tip # 10: The Ears Have It

Our ears are laced with acupressure points for virtually all organs in our bodies.   If you gently massage your ears for as little as two minutes, you may notice pleasant sensations and relaxation throughout your body.  Try this.

  1. Put a bit of lotion or coconut oil on your fingers.
  2. Gently grasp the top, outside edge of your ear with your thumb and the knuckle of your index finger.
  3. Run your thumb and knuckle around the outside fold of  your ear, top to lobe.
  4. Repeat several times, tugging gently.
  5. Now, continue the thumb and index finger massage on the inside folds of your ears.
  6. (Use caution if you have long nails, no scratching, please.)
  7. Focus on the calming combination of lotion/massage and enjoy your mini-spa treatment.

  1. Hello Becky,

    I was in your class at the Healthy Living Center quite a few times last year – before my life became very complicated and I spent some time in China, then returned home to a stressful situation. Today (June 30) I went to HLC looking very forward to starting up again in your Qigong class, but alas it was no longer being offered. Are you teaching in another place?

    I’ve included my art website so you can see a little about me and what I do and have done. I also teach piano lessons. I’ve taken Tai Chi from Sherry. I meditate. I am looking forward to involving myself in Tai Chi again (maybe this time I will really learn it).
